I find Dr. Kumar to be very good at his craft. However when you book an appointment be prepared to wait. Last appointment was 1hr 40 min wait. Theres less of a wait at a medicenter after a long weekend. Im sure there must be some double booking happening as it seems to be pretty consistent.
I saw dr hennig in February after noticing my hips were out of place and I was having bad back pain.. she sent me for and xray which showed nothing so then to physio and prescribed me meds. I did everything I was told as well as chiro and an osteopath which none helped and my condition got worse and worse to the point I can hardly walk I've also got 3 kids so the situation is not ideal . I went back in June and was sent for another xray which showed I'd developed mild scoliosis I begged her to send me for an MRI as this pain is not normal its debilitating I cant sleep sit up walk more then 20 steps before I have to sit. She said they wouldnt do it because I dont meet criteria and my pains because of this mild scoliosis I didnt have in February when I had my first xray!!. I fought her at which point she was rolling her eyes getting angry and shaking her hands at me I was nearly in tears. I asked her to help me she said she cant fix me shes not a miracle worker which I obviously know but I was under the understanding doctors were there to help figure this stuff out and she was unwilling. I walked out feeling hopeless and even more depressed as I've been nearly bed bound now for 8 months. I found another doctor he told me I need an MRI and also is referring me to a gynecologist as my symptoms also show signs of endometriosis which can affect your sciatic nerve he did an actual exam on my back which she did not. I will never ever go back to this doctor. She did send the MRI after I fought her and I was mailed an appt date for January so I guess I did meet the criteria. Shes extreamly rude and unpleasant horrible bedside manner and not very knowledgeable or empathetic she also complained to me about another patient the first time I saw her not very professional!!!
This review is to be for Ross Creek Medical Cinic. I dont know about the Vein Clinic. Ross Creek Medical Clinic of Doctors is the worst medical facility I have ever been unlucky enough to attend. I gave one doctor here the benefit of the doubt for almost one year, reluctantly, as she was sending me to specialists. Since then I refused to return to her but tried two others that were no better (I believe there are only 5 in total!!). Of the three I saw, all were arrogant, rude, dismissive and uncaring and I consistently left this clinic in tears of frustration that the people trained and supposedly available to help us with our medical issues in this province can be so appallingly unfeeling and uncaring. On the contrary, at this clinic you are a billing number and the more of them and the quicker they get them through the better! Heal anyone?? Listen to anyone?? Forget about it!! This last woman today actually stood up and opened the door while I was still asking her what I could do about my constant exhaustion! She was so dismissive she never even responded to me about it! As a result of her opening the door I forgot to ask for a refill of my prescriptions! And I missed two hours of work for that appointment!! Now I have to miss two hours again and go somewhere else!! The only reason I kept returning to this terrible place is that I am 57, new to Fort Saskatchewan, recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and family doctors are hard to find. I also like to think I've given people a chance and it's not just me being difficult. But after this third doctor this morning I KNOW it's not just me and I have promised myself that I am DONE with Ross Creek!! I should mention that not only are the doctors terrible but the staff are disorganized and have actually told untruths to my face and over the phone on several occasions (I hate to use the word lies but if it walks like a duck...). If you value your health care you will go to Southpointe or even drive into the city to see a doctor rather than attending this deplorable clinic!
So where do I start. First I'm going for general anesthesic so I go to my meet with the anesthesiologist. Extremely busy but didnt wait to long. My problem is they messed up on my weight and ht this is a big MESS-UP as it can cause the doctor to over dose me. I called to get it fixed the first one was like oh no I see what you mean. Then she transferred me to the nurse (eye roll) and the nurse tells me its changed as the doctor must of seen and changed it. I was like no you guys just changed it cause it wasn't changed when i called first.... she starts to say No the doctor changed it blah blah... so no one gets in trouble. I dont think they know what they are doing if they messed up mine who's else have they messed up on. Very serious not to be taken lightly like they seemed they dont care at all.
I have never had an issue here. Dr Azer did surgery on me and was great! He was reassuring and kind. He is very straight and to the point. Its not a bad thing, he just doesnt sugar coat things. I also come here for walk-Ins when myself or my kid are sick. Ive had bad experiences at other clinics in town, but not here. So I dont go anywhere else. They are great with my 3yr old and they are always super friendly and kind. Thank you Ross Creek Medical.
